How Sonatora Began

Sonatora started with us, Philip and Angela, and a shared love of creating. Philip has spent most of his professional life as an Electrical Engineer with the U.S. Air Force. Angela is a Family Nurse Practitioner. On paper, it is an unlikely path to launching an art brand, but our free time always pulled us back to the same things: photography, woodworking, gardening, travel, and a desire to make beautiful, meaningful things.

As we hiked mountain ridgelines, wandered through national parks, and noticed small moments of beauty at home, the idea grew. What if we could turn those experiences into art that people could live with every day? Art that felt considered and intentional, not just something pulled off a crowded store shelf.

That idea became Sonatora.
